Femme Wardrobe

Femme Wardrobe

A luxury womenswear store where the checkout is a guided sequence, not one long form — built on stock WooCommerce so it stays upgradable.

Luxury clothing is bought slowly. The store is built around that: room for the garment to be looked at, a product page with a full gallery rather than a single thumbnail, and a cart that opens beside the page instead of interrupting it.

The checkout is the part most stores get wrong. Here it is a guided sequence — a buyer answers a few questions at a time instead of facing one long form, which is where an abandoned cart usually happens.

Key features of this build

  • Multi-step checkout — the buyer moves through short stages instead of one long form
  • Slide-out mini cart, so adding a piece never takes you off the page you were browsing
  • Product pages with a full image gallery, built for garments rather than for parts
  • Shop page with filtering and sort, sized for a catalogue that will grow
  • About and contact pages carrying the brand voice, not a template’s
  • Stock WooCommerce underneath — no custom checkout code, so updates stay safe
  • How we built it

  • Designed the product page first: for a luxury piece, the gallery is the sales pitch.
  • Split the checkout into stages and tested the path, because a long single form is what loses a ready buyer.
  • Added the slide-out cart so browsing is never interrupted by a page load.
  • Kept the commerce layer stock — every customisation sits in the theme layer, not in WooCommerce itself.
